about

Addertongue is an exploratory, collaborative music project led by Nathan Moody, which creates expansive, expressive sonic journeys inspired by psychedelia and vintage electronic music.

This debut Addertongue album features amazing guest musicians from across North America. Analogue synthesizers still play an important role, as in Moody's other work, but are supplemented by spaced-out guitars, dirty organs, acoustic drums, field recordings, and more. The songs' shimmering melodies and Technicolor freakouts are inspired by dreams, visions, vast landscapes, and deep space.

"Far Is Near" takes us to all these places and back again, reminding us that such realms connect us all...and are closer than we think.
